HOW TO GET THERE

By car

The AP-7 motorway is the fastest way of getting to this county by road. The C-66 main road cuts across the county, connecting the coast with the inland areas. Taking that road (C-66) and heading towards Palamós from Girona (junction 6, signposted 'Girona Nord'), there's a 29 kilometre drive to La Bisbal, which will take you around 25 minutes. After passing through La Bisbal, carry on as far as Vulpellac and then turn off at the roundabout to head for Peratallada - Ullastret.

Stay on that road and follow the signs to Peratallada. After passing by Peratallada on the right, carry on another 1000 metres and you'll see the turn-off for Fontclara on your left.

By public transport

The regional and long-distance trains run by the national railway company (Renfe) stop off at Girona station and at Flaçà station (the one closest to La Bisbal). Once there you can find taxis and bus services (run by the Sarfa bus company) to take you everywhere in the county. The buses are frequent, and stop at the main towns and villages in our county (La Bisbal, Torroella de Montgrí, Pals and Llofriu are the stops closest to Fontclara).

From Girona airport

If you fly to our province with Ryanair, you will land at the Girona - Costa Brava (Vilobí d'Onyar) airport. It then takes about 45 minutes by car to get from the airport to Fontclara.
